I was looking forward to the massive labor strikes, transportation strikes, Euro2016 Soccer Championship, terrorist threats, and the record flooding.........but, I got nothing.

Aside from the Seine obviously being a lot higher, a few transportation blips, and a noticeably less crowded Eiffel Tower, Paris was its normal self.

Maastricht (again)

In Maastricht which is sort of the shoehorn of the Netherlands, between Belgium and Germany. Off to partially flooded Paris on Sunday......

Travel

EuroGeezer is off to Paris and points SouthEast Friday. France should be interesting what with flooding in Paris, major labor strikes against trains and planes, a gas shortage, terrorist threats to the 2016 Euro soccer championships, did I mention flooding?

Haarlem

Oude Kerk

Return to the Oude Kerk, or Old Church. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, in the middle of the Red Light district, it is the oldest building in the city, built around 1300. We were here our first week in Amsterdam for a kick-off meeting of Leslie's school program. Temperature, 37 degrees inside! It was a lot warmer when these pictures were taken in May.

Stupid Man, Watches TV!

Sure, we got TV here in Amsterdam, hundreds of channels probably. We have narrowed down our very intermittent TV watching to BBC 1 and 2, and a couple of "food" channels. 

This popped up last nite on BBC2 and we got sort of caught up in it:
